The Truthear Pure is an excellent all-rounder for listeners who prioritize a natural, warm, and musical sound that remains detailed without being fatiguing. While its tuning leans towards a smoother presentation that benefits cinematic and action-heavy games, its technical abilities still make it a strong contender for general gaming and music.

Imaging and Soundstage: 3.5/5
Good imaging for positional audio, but it’s less aggressively pin-point accurate than brighter, more analytical rivals. The presentation is slightly more focused toward the center, giving a decent sense of depth but making the soundstage feel average in width. It provides a natural sense of space, which is great for immersion, but not class-leading for competitive 'wall-hack' cueing.

Sound Signature:Warm-Neutral, Smooth, and Engaging

Offers a warm, smooth, and natural sound profile that is easy to listen to for hours. Sub-bass and mid-bass presence provides impact and rumble for explosions and cinematic soundscapes, without being bloated. The mids are rich and slightly forward, giving vocals and central game comms a pleasing clarity and weight. Treble ,smooth and controlled, avoiding any harshness or sibilance. It provides enough detail for resolution but is relaxed enough to prevent listening fatigue

Comfort: 4/5
Designed with an ergonomic shell made of DLP-3D printed medical-grade resin. Generally very comfortable for long gaming or listening sessions. The shell is slightly chunkier than some minimal IEMs, but the refined shaping and nozzle angle generally provide a secure and non-fatiguing fit for most users.


Versatility: 4/5
Highly versatile. Its warm-neutral tuning is fantastic for all-day listening across multiple music genres (especially genres that benefit from warmth and impact) and excelling in cinematic and general-purpose gaming where a rich, impactful sound is desired over strictly analytical cues.

Potential Drawbacks:

  • Competitive Gaming Cues: The smooth, relaxed treble and less aggressive staging mean critical high-frequency cues (like very distant footsteps) may not be as immediately prominent or pin-point accurate as on 'neutral-bright' IEMs.

  • Tuning Preference: Users who prefer an aggressively analytical, bright, or V-shaped (scooped mids) sound will find the Pure too warm and smooth.

  • Nozzle Size: While improved from its predecessor (the Hexa), the nozzle diameter is still on the larger side, which may cause fit issues or discomfort for users with very small ear canals.

  • Resolution/Clarity: While good, its focus on smoothness means it sacrifices a small degree of micro-detail and ultimate clarity when compared directly to the most analytical IEMs in its class.
