RGT Rating
The DUNU Titan S2 is arguably the king of value in the sub RM400 market, not just for its audio, but for its industry-leading accessory package. It offers a warm, musical, and "safe" tuning that excels as a daily driver. While it trades some of the analytical "edge" of the original Titan S for a more fun, punchy sound, it remains a highly competent tool for both immersive gaming and versatile music listening.
Imaging and Soundstage: 3.5/5
Impressive width and lateral imaging. It excels at placing sounds to the far left and right, which is great for cinematic atmosphere and horizontal enemy tracking in shooters. However, it lacks depth and verticality; sounds can feel a bit "on a line" rather than truly 3D/holographic. It’s reliable for gaming but won't provide the same spatial "depth" as something like the HEXA.
Sound Signature: Balance and very clean mids.
Provides a lush, smooth, and engaging sound that is very easy to enjoy for long periods.
- Bass: Concentrated on the mid-bass punch, giving drums and explosions a satisfying "thump" and body. It lacks some sub-bass "rumble" compared to the Zero:Red, but it feels faster and more textured.
- Midrange: Natural and slightly warm. Vocals have a pleasing weight and presence without ever sounding shouty or harsh.
- Treble: Smooth and safe. It has enough sparkle to feel detailed and airy (especially with the S&S tips), but it's specifically tuned to avoid fatigue, making it perfect for long gaming marathons.
Comfort: 4/5
Despite being made of heavy high-density alloy, the shells are ergonomically shaped and the nozzle is a manageable size, making it much more comfortable for smaller ears than the Truthear Zero series. The chrome finish feels premium, though it is a total fingerprint magnet.
Versatility: 5/5
Unmatched versatility. Between the modular cable (allowing you to switch to balanced gear instantly) and the four different types of ear-tips that noticeably change the sound, you can "tune" this IEM to your preference. It is a true all-rounder that handles any music genre or game type with ease.
Potential Drawbacks:
Fingerprint Magnet: The mirror-finish chrome housing looks stunning but will be covered in smudges the moment you touch it.
Sub-bass Extension: If you are a "bass-head" looking for a skull-rattling sub-bass rumble for cinematic movies or EDM, the Titan S2 might feel a bit too lean in the lowest registers.
Depth Accuracy: For highly competitive tactical shooters where "distance" (front-to-back depth) is vital, the linear soundstage might make distant sounds feel closer than they actually are.
Weight: While ergonomic, the metal shells are heavier than resin-based IEMs; some users may feel a bit more "ear fatigue" from the physical weight over several hours.
