  • The G30 utilizes a hybrid driver configuration, pairing a 9.2mm DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) + PU dynamic driver for punchy, controlled bass with a custom Balanced Armature (BA) driver featuring Knowles dampening for sharp, detailed highs. This setup ensures that explosive low-end frequencies never muddy the critical high-frequency cues like footsteps or glass breaking.
  • The design features a DLP 3D-printed medical-grade resin shell with a semi-custom shape, prioritizing long-term comfort for marathon gaming sessions. A standout feature is the detachable boom microphone (included with the USB-C version), which provides high-clarity voice comms superior to standard inline microphones. The EPZ G30 is a technical powerhouse designed specifically for competitive FPS gaming. While the Q1 Pro is a great all-rounder for music, the G30 is a specialized tool that excels in separation and spatial awareness.

Imaging and Soundstage: 4.5/5

The hybrid driver setup provides exceptional instrument separation. In FPS titles like CS2 or Apex Legends, the G30 excels at pinpointing the exact direction of footsteps and ability cues, even in chaotic team fights. The soundstage is notably wide, particularly in the horizontal plane.

The G30 is a "Gaming-First" IEM. While it sounds great for EDM and Hip-Hop, its lean lower mids mean vocals and acoustic instruments lack the body found in the Q1 Pro. However, the inclusion of a boom mic and DSP makes it a superior "headset replacement." 

Potential Drawbacks:

Lean Mid-Range: If you prefer lush, thick vocals or "warm" sounding music, the G30 may feel a bit thin.

Treble Rolloff: To ensure a fatigue-free experience, the very top end is smoothed out. Those looking for "air" or extreme sparkle might find it slightly conservative.

Build Sensitivity: Like most resin IEMs, they are durable but will crack if dropped on hard surfaces.
